Some veterinarians and farriers are beginning to realize that shoes and pads might not be the answer to every hoof related ailment. Natural trimming and a natural lifestyle change has helped thousands of horses pull that one foot out of the grave and run off, bucking and farting, to new careers paths.
Early in 2004, I discovered a farrier turned hoof rehabilitation specialist from Georgia, Pete Ramey and later training with him, was the catalyst that changed our world and the lives of our horses.

Correct, Regular Trims Are the Key
When the shoes come off, we will trim your horse’s hooves to begin the healing and rehabilitation process. Our trims emulate the hoof-shaping forces of a natural habitat to reshape the hoof wall and allow the soles and frogs of your horse’s feet to toughen, and to let bones and tendons return to their proper, naturally balanced position in the hoof capsule. Your horse’s entire demeanor will likely improve and he’ll give you a better ride than you’ve ever experienced.
After the initial trim, follow-up trims continue the rehabilitation process. You’ll have the confidence and peace of mind of knowing we use techniques we’ve learned through years of study with the foremost practitioners of natural hoof care, such as Pete Ramey and Jaime Jackson. We’ve seen these techniques work wonders on literally hundreds of horses just like yours, and on our own horses, too.
